We are being bought to you all by the power of electric television. Yes, we are actually here with you! And then the tv in the middle of the stage burst into smoke and Jennifer and Dawn disappeared into the dark of the Bristol Hippodrome stage back in 2001! This is my way of announcing that I am actually here with you, typing away quite alive, not on tv.
So this Substack thing, apparently its the way to go with this influencer, monopoly money fame lark for writers and I suppose I am a writer. Some of you may have been kind enough to have bought my books or follow me already on my Instagram, you might have watched my create academy course or listened to me on podcasts. Especially so if the Instagram following is the case, you’ll know that I’m not the average gardener account, in fact I find all this treadmill of how to and what you supposedly should be doing, quite creativity killing and its been done to death really.
At present my attention is on re-watching episodes of Bad Girls featuring a fleeting casting of the much miss Kate O’mara ‘DARLINGS IF I’D REALISED’. I enjoy sharing what invigorates me rather than telling people what to do so I’ll be using this platform like I do on Instagram to share my tastes in plant varieties, people
, my concerns of wildlife and farm animal news and what I’ve been up to personally, visits, possibly rants, we will see how we go! But the bonus, I hope with this is that I’ll be able to be more detailed in what I’m sharing than just posting.
Arthur a massive welcome to you, and Substack is a better place because of your arrival!
You are a writer. That's why I like reading you, anyway and anywhere you write. Which may seem strange as I switched off the TV 20 years ago (Berlusconi's era was totally devastating), wasn't exactly a chicken person when I first read you (the factory garden era) and have to fight daily with my cats to save my flower pots and my landlord to try to save the bees when he treats his apple trees. Yes, keep being you, it helps here too.
