I particularly loved your description of "the cab is spat out the other end of Hyde Park". Such a brilliant observation of an all too familiar London experience. I love your writing. You have a real gift for seeing the magic in everything you encounter.

Yes, i did enjoy your post. Nothing like reading about a stressed, sweaty, panicked Noddy to cheer me up

I love the descriptive writing.. I laughed so hard when you said you'd be fucked if the phone died.

What a great character you are!!😘

One of those times when you wish you hadn’t said yes to the mission. Reading this, I was in the taxi with you, worried and frantic. Glorious to be young. Enjoy even the terrifying things!

Full empathy with the whole lot Arthur . Taxi nightmare in particular and the walking time . I did v similar recently. Running out of the taxi and down the street with arms full of bags in the air , regretting the last purchase- huge heavy bottle of posh tomato juice. Got on that Kingham train with 6 secs to spare and coughed for 20 mins thereafter from the Herculean effort 😀

Loved it! Gave me anxiety just reading it. I HATE that feeling. I knew there was a reason I don’t go to London much anymore. It takes so long to get anywhere and half the time I don’t know where I’m going. Very claustrophobic so avoid the tube as much as possible
