A trip down childhood tv memory lane filled with a bloody Country Life crossed with Ok magazine worthy cover headlines, a wonderful mongrel of a well acted drama - England at its best!
“Fish may not be the brightest of god’s creatures, but to call them vegetables is a little unkind”….possibly not perfectly accurately recalled, but my favourite line from the “Talent for Life” episode.
Goodness I remember all of those, and quite often catch them on ITVX. I do remember one scene from an episode (the title of which escapes me) when a very unpleasant wine loving man, is pegged up on his lawn, and his wife in a wheelchair is directing a man off screen who is catapulting wine bottles at him, to aim a couple of degrees one way, to land a very expensive bottle at his head 😀.
Some great ones here but I also love the rest. I think the gorgeous interiors in some of the later ones are worth watching just for themselves. ‘For Death Prepare’ has songs from the Pirates of Penzance, with a beautiful Manor House. Happy Families is great too, and the Sting of Death with the bees taking a starring role. They’re just made for Sunday viewing after the clocks change, aren’t they?
Tom and Troy, the golden years.... memory lane indeed. Thank you!

Oh my god this quote mine too ❤️❤️❤️
I am a latecomer to Midsomer, but it is my comfort watch. There are several here I have missed but will now happily catch up, thank you!
They couldn’t possibly make too many of these for me.

Oh, that’s a goodie. He was insufferable.
I’m going to give it a go, but did you ever watch Rosemary and Thyme? So brilliant!
Oh yes, just wonderful.
