The Japanese wall paper perhaps shows camellias since they are native to Japan? Peonies are native to China. Just a guess, though.

I really enjoy your writings. Such vivid descriptions of plants, birds, hens, wonderful places, etc. I must go to Chatsworth some day soon. My son in law was raised in Derbyshire. Right into my garden maintenance season right now. Perphaps next spring when I visit my daughter. Thank you Arthur❤
